  • Be responsible for staff recruitment and retention including hiring and staff development
  • Provide supervision to workers in multiple branch offices to ensure understanding of and compliance with strength based, family centered, trauma informed, culturally sensitive foster parenting practice
  • Oversee recruitment, training and licensing of foster parents in our relative, traditional and specialized foster care program
  • Ensure compliance of all appropriate DCFS Rules and Procedures
  • Maintain casework documentation and tracking in accordance with the program and agency policy and procedures
  • Ensure compliancy based documentation is completed professionally and in a timely manner
  • Assist the Director of Licensing with management of the Licensing Program
  • Assume leadership role on the agency supervisor and child welfare teams
  • Act as a liaison between the agency and other agencies and community organizations including the media  


  • Master's Degree in Social work or related DCFS approved related field
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred
  • At least 2 years of experience in human service or child welfare
  • At least 2 years of experience in licensing
  • Ability to pass DCFS background check and CWEL license
  • Possession of a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and three years of driving experience and be willing to travel
  • On call availability
